#1 - Dominicus Verboom (5-0-0)
5 fights - 5 finishes. Verboom has been perfect so far in his MMA career. He's outdone every other fighter in the division. It takes Bimbo 3 minutes to finish Hancock. It takes Verboom one minute. Verboom is able to KO Esteban Butler. Bimbo went to the judges scorecards. The bottom line is...nobodies resume at Heavyweight is more impressive than Dominicus Verboom. His striking is amazing. It's going to be interesting to see how he does against top competition. He is very small for the weightclass. Will that be his undoing? Does he have enough of a ground game? We will find out.
#2 - Bimbo Jackson (6-0-0)
Bimbo is an animal. He destroys his opponents. Before Verboom came into the scene...everybody was focused on Bimbo and his fights. However, he's gone to the judges scorecards in half of his fights. So you have to ask...is he a finisher? PErhaps he is, perhaps he isn't. He definitely does have power in his fists. That's evident just by watching his fights. He's a tough brawler. I think he will go very far in this division. I have to wonder how he does against a guy like Verboom though. Personally, I think Verboom would outstrike him. That's just judging by their common opponents.
#3 - Abe de Groot (4-0-0)
De Groot is a cold blooded killer! And he's a sky scraper. Standing at 6'10, de Groot's nickname is called the Tower of Terror. And that's what he is. His kicks are just brutal and devestating!!! He knocks people out. He leaves their legs purple and red. He can knock you out with a body kick. He's got devestating power and huge size for the division. You have to wonder how athletic could he be while being so huge? That could be his down fall. And does he have a grappling game? We'll have to found out! But so far so good for de Groot who just might be the best striker in the world right now. Though Verboom may have something to say about that. That would be an incredible match!
#4 - Templeton Crumb (6-0-0)
Templeton brings a very good striking skill set to MMA. He's very solid and a hard hitter. You could question his finishing ability as he's gone to the judges score cards in his last 5 bouts. So..does he have knockout power? He does have one knockout...but that's it. You have to think that he has less power than Bimbo and Dominicus. That's why I put him #4. He boasts a very impressive resume and was able to beat Butler by decision, much like Bimbo. Crumb has a bright future in this division. De Groot is a finisher and that's what he has over Crumb.
#5 - Artem Magomedov (3-1-0)
Artem is a solid young up and coming fighter. He's Russian and bring that Russian fire into the arena. He's very good on the ground and known for his dangerous submissions. In his 3 wins...two of them are by way of submission. Does he have a good striking game? That's what we have to see. We've seen him struggle a bit in his fights. Especially in his lone loss to Cesario. Cersario is a good fighter however. It's going to be interesting to see how Artem does in the HW Europe Tournament.
