We're here on the scene of the third Amateur Fighting Championships event in Brazil, and it was a night of massive action, and massive upsets.
First up, we have the Mexican Menace Marco Garcia against Brad McKay.
McKay only took this fight on just hours' notice to replace Japanese journeyman Tsuneie Miyazaki and this makes his performance even more impressive:
Round 1 ended up being a battle for position on the ground as both men struggled to get dominant position.
Round 2 was a stand-up battle with both fighters trading and countering with strikes.
The fight was even until Round 3:
...where Mckay established his dominance on the ground and clinched a fight-ending textbook armbar.

Next, we have Leonard Hauser Jr., son of the legendary Leonard Sr., taking on Felix Alvim.
Alvim went straight to work right away attempting to pressure Hauser Jr:
But when The Fallen got going, he took command of the rest of the fight:
And cruised his way to a shutout on all the judges' cards.

Hector Ignacio (Full name: Hector Fernando Leal Luna Ignacio) earned fans for his wild, violent style, and he did not disappoint in his bout with Shito Kawagichi:
Ignacio, right off the opening bell, was out for blood, teeing off on his opponent multiple times in the first minutes.
While most people thought it would end in another knockout victory for the Spanish fighter, it was a cut across the forehead of the Japanese fighter that ended his night.
A bizarre ending with many thinking the fight ended too early, but notches the violent Ignacio's fifth career win.

In our co-main event, 3-2 Hakim Silva engaged in a stand-up war against 2-3 journeyman Tsuneie Miyazaki, where Silva left victorious:
It was a back-and-forth volley from both competitors for two rounds, but Silva's defense shone its brightest in the third round:
Leading to a unanimous decision nod and win number 4 for The Killer.

Finally in our main event, Cannon Mendoza, one half of the Mendoza Blunt Brothers, locked horns with Russian prospect Kirill Shikov,
and that fight ended Mendoza's then-perfect 7-0 run in the Amateur Fighting Championships.
It was another back-and-forth battle, both standing and on the ground.
However, the Russian had an answer for all of Mendoza's attacks, seizing control of the fight in the third frame...
...thus ending the fight with a split decision nod for Kirill Shikov and Cannon Mendoza's first career loss.
