In this game, select users will have the opportunity to run their own organization. You will play as a Promoter. These guys will be doing everything they can to run a successful martial arts organization. There will be also opportunities to run leagues in the following sports: BJJ, Kickboxing...possibly Vale Tudo, NCAA Wrestling, and Boxing.
Obviously not everyone is going to be able to play Promoter. These positions will probably require someone to be a little more active than the typical user.
If you're interested in doing this, send me a PM. Let me know how much free time you have and we can talk about whether or not being a Promoter is right for you. You will run anywhere from 1-6 events in a 3 week block. It takes about 30-60 minutes for me to simulate a large fight card.

I'm into this. I ran a very successful org in MMATycoon, but I was putting like 20+ hours a week into it, so I stepped back. I just got laid off, so I have more time than usual. That might change, but I'm very free right now

I think I can also bring some more users in, but I'm just waiting until there's something more tangible I can show them

I don't want to speak for him...but I've been told by our website developer that it is in the works. There is no timetable. As for the website...that's ideally where we want the gameplay to take place. The training...the strategy changes...sign ups. Of course the forum will always remain a crucial/essential element to the game with roleplay. I do think it will be hard for us to really grow the way we want to until we get that thing up.

Yeah, something where they can quickly look at other fighters and get a feel for the game. If you're not big on forums I feel like it can feel a bit daunting as everything sits right now

I'd be up for running a BJJ organization. Id maybe upgrade to an mma org. later on but I think for now it'd be cool to get some KB and BJJ stuff going on too.

If you're not big on forums I feel like it can feel a bit daunting as everything sits right now I see your point. I will try to clean up the forum a bit. We're still kind of in the beginning stage. I might not get all the rules sorted out until about 2 weeks from now. I'm planning on writing rules rough drafts sometime this upcoming week. Right now all we have is the sign up and the amateur events. I will be giving everyone a special training session for block 1. I wouldn't mind a knock off version of the website for the interem. Just something where you guys can log in and edit your fighters info (height, weight, style, IMG) and I can add news stories and interviews like the chosen has posted. A link to rankings and the roster with every fighter linked with their record would be something great. I don't know how hard that would be or if it would be too much a distraction from the essentials we want for the site (the application, training, strategies).

Not sure when we can get the KB and BJJ events going. Hopefully relatively soon. There's so much stuff going on...I don't know what to do next haha! I'm 90+% sure that we'll have to use the NHB simulator to run the BJJ events. We could also run boxing and vale tudo events using this sim. The current sim can only do kickboxing and MMA to my knowledge. There is a rating difference in the two simulators...but its very similar that it could be pretty much translated rating for rating with few exceptions. I really like the NHB sim. However, the UMS 2 sim is 1000% more user friendly and easier to run. You need to have Windows XP to run NHB. If you don't have it, you could set up a virtual window on your PC and run XP through it. That's what I'll be doing....or maybe I'll just buy another...old?..... laptop. Haha

I will be in touch with you on FB. edit - And by great to read I don't mean the part about being laid off....that sucks man....haha. At least Obama probably has your back.

I really love the character building and simulator as it is right now. I've already started spreading the word a bit anyways, as the potential is amazing. Regardless, I'm willing to help out however's needed. Let me know

I will install those both and make sure I can get them to work. I'll let you know if they do. Then just tell me when I have the green light to set up events and we'll be good to go.

Right now a lot of my time is spent on maintaining the sim, scheduling cards, and simming. Haven't been able to squeeze in recruiting for a few days now. I appreciate any and all help! I want to make this place big enough....with a big enough staff...that if a staff member or myself had to completely step away...the game would keep going. That's what I failed to do last time. So early on my focus is going to be on trying to establish a staff. This is the beginning of what I hope will be a long term project. I hope you guys get to see the entirety of your fighters' careers and into multiple generations of fighters. I've played a baseball simulator since I was 13 years old...and I'm 25 now. That website has been going strong forever...so that's my inspiration haha! ( should out to www.csfbl.com )

If you don't have Windows XP....and you use a Virtual Machine....I'd watch some youtube videos to help you. That's what I did. Or a cheap laptop with windows XP off craigslist might be a simpler (slightly more risky) solution.
