Due to the level of activity we are currently displaying, I am done running events for now. I will continue when website is done. Currently its not worth the time investment when the activity is this low.

sucks but we just need to get a few more people. I've been less active for like a week because I was out of town for a few days and I just got a new job

I've put a bit of effort into getting new people, and entertaining our current ones (podcasts, betting odds, occasional articles, guys like Baloni)...so if you guys want to try and get the activity up, that'd be great. For now, I'm going to focus on music making and MMA training/gambling and possibly journalism until the website is ready.
If I notice any changes around here, I can begin running events again, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think I've had 1 or 2 fights in the last month or so. Been waiting on the FW press conference and tournament for about the same time length. What is there to do? I didnt sign on because there isnt anything for me to post or do ... Let me know when the website is ready I guess

Been out of town for work the last 4 days, it sucks that it isn't more active, but I've been trying to log in every day and check progress, chime in pre and post fight, chat down in the box... not sure what else to do as well. I'll be as active as I can.

I didnt sign on because there isnt anything for me to post or do ... Let me know when the website is ready I guess This simply isn't true. Between Kobayashi and Roberts and the rest of your guys you've probably had at least 4, probably in the past month real life time. Just do a simple search for their name. EDIT - Wow I guess you might be right. You've either had 2, 3, or 4. I did do a lot of sparring matches for you a month ago. However, if its lack of fights its because you aren't signing up to the events. I make sure to get people on the cards if they want to be on them. Nearly half the events require you to sign up or I just throw whoever is active on. Not to mention there has been nothing this week. And I'm not going to run anything unless we have enough people. Clearly right now there is not enough people paying attention. I will let everyone know when the website is here. The guy who is working on it doesn't communicate with me often. Basically if I don't message him he never messages me, and I'm not going to keep bugging someone. This doesn't seem very promising. Trust me, I'm not sure about it either. But there is a website, and he has worked on it. www.mmasimworld.com is the proof. I personally hope he finishes it. It'd be nice. Bottom line, I'm not going to sim a bunch of fights for 2-5 active people. It isn't fun. If you want this to continue I guess just check in here and let me know. There has to be a need for it. There's got to be at least 15 active guys, and even then that isn't enough for me. If you're feeling upto it, go recruit. I've done my part. I've probably messages over 1,000 people on different websites and social media, so good luck. All you need to do to see how inactive we are is look at this thread. Replies from 3 guys. And it took 4 days to achieve this. It's sad considering the effort I've put in. But life goes on. If the demand was there, the fights would be too.

I just didnt respond to this thread cause I was a little frustrated before. The one thing I will say though, is that although a lot of my guys have had fights (of which I've done pre/post fight conferences for them all) many of my fighters characters don't fit the trash talker model. The one who does though has (until the past week) been highly inactive because of the FW tournament delay. It sucks that things have to be put on hold but I do get it.
However, its not totally fair for the blame to be put on those who have signed up (or anyone on here at all for that matter) because just signing up and creating fighters, doing conferences, sending training (which actually takes a lot of time), commenting or reply to other threads, talking in the chat, making an effort to be at events live is all a lot of work for people who have school and jobs to juggle. I get that you have put a lot of work into this and trust me its appreciated by me. But I just hope you arent belittling the importance of everyone who made an attempt to even join the community.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't annoyed by the low activity of the forum. At one point we had like 15 active guys, then suddenly the forum dies for a week. So yeah, that is disappointing. And it's not as if I'm upset at any one guy, but I'm just upset that what I'm going is not generating the interest. It's not really bringing too much forum banter, random trash talking, ect. It's just not at all what I had in mind. I expected it to be like it was, but about double the posting and activity...at least.
It's been a while since I did this. I don't remember ever being frustrated at the lack of participation. But this time around, I get annoyed by it. Its just not what I had in mind, its nowhere close to where I envisioned it going and certainly wasn't progressing much.
You mention blame. I'm not blaming anyone in particular. If anything, it's me. I didn't make the product good enough to generate the activity. It starts with me. I can say this though...I gave it my all. I tried. I have no regrets because messaging over 1,000 people takes a lot of time. As did everything else. I got banned from multiple sites for spamming via PMs.
I do appreciate the active players who signed up, participated, did the interviews, joined teams, ect. I really do. It's not the members to blame for pausing the sims, its the lack of active members.

Yeah it's tough. I think it's one of those things where getting over the hump is the hardest part.
To get the game going to where it is really fun, you need a certain number of members. And for most people to want to join, they want to see a game that is already working.

Well the people interested know I'm here. Like I said before, if there's enough interest and members who sign up, we can begin to do things. I hope you guys all stick around the forum for updates in case things somehow pick up.

I'll keep checking in, and I'll be as active as before when it picks back up again. I appreciate all the hard work.

Yeah I think its been a while since my last update on the real life sim.
I can probably do updates just based on the last few cards.
If you want to work on it, it'd be good that we sync up the work. So I can send you the most up to date file and then you can begin working from there.
